Scientific Symposium Held on "The Importance of Health and Safety in Preserving Life as a Priority for Halabja’s Sustainable Development"

On Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Central Library of the University of Halabja, the Research and Development Center, in collaboration with the College of Humanities – Tourism Department, held a scientific symposium titled "The Importance of Health and Safety in Preserving Life as a Priority for Halabja’s Sustainable Development."

​The event was attended by Assist. Prof. Dr. Shwan Nuri, Dean of the College of Humanities; Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Mohammed Salih, Dean of the Research and Development Center; along with representatives from various institutions, agencies, and faculty members.

​The symposium featured presentations by the following esteemed speakers:

  • Fariad Najmaddin Karim Director of Migration, Displacement, and Crisis Response
  • Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Mohammed Salih Dean of the Research and Development Center
  • Dr. Rebaz Luqman Mustafa Head of the Tourism Department

​During the symposium, discussions focused on protecting citizens' lives, safety and environmental procedures, the role of public awareness in managing emergencies and providing first aid, and supporting the sustainable development of tourism in Halabja.

​The symposium successfully concluded with remarks, notes, and observations from the attendees.
