New Version of the Journal List Platform Released with a Fresh Design and Updated Data

The Journal List platform—developed by a team of professors, researchers, and students at the University of Halabja—is once again available with a brand-new design and an updated database to serve researchers both locally and internationally.

This platform was created to simplify the identification and evaluation of scientific journals, helping researchers verify journal indexing status in Web of Science, Scopus, and DOAJ, and make informed decisions when selecting suitable journals for publishing their research.

Platform Features

  • Comprehensive Directory: Registers and classifies scientific journals to make evaluation and database indexing checks effortless.
  • Advanced Search: Allows researchers to easily search for journals and check their metrics, including Impact Factor, CiteScore, Scopus, and DOAJ indexing.
  • Global Standards: Utilizes data sourced from major international databases—Web of Science, Scopus, and DOAJ—evaluating journals against rigorous global standards.
  • Leading Scale: As the first and largest scientific journal evaluation platform in Kurdistan and Iraq, it houses data on over 100,000 scientific journals worldwide.

What’s New in the Latest Version?

  • Redesigned Interface: A fresh, highly organized layout that simplifies user navigation and data access.
  • Updated Impact Factors: Journal Impact Factor data has been refreshed so researchers can rely on up-to-date metrics when choosing a journal.
  • Delisted Journals Identification: Journals that have lost their Impact Factor are clearly marked with a "Delisted" tag to keep researchers informed of changing journal statuses.
  • Scopus Data Organization: Information regarding Scopus-indexed journals has been updated and structured for easier searching and status verification.
  • Enhanced User Experience: Improvements to search functionality and data presentation for a clearer, smoother experience.

Additional Information

The platform also features dedicated sections for local Kurdish journals and fake or suspicious journals to help researchers identify credible sources and avoid predatory publishing. Journal List is available in three languages: Kurdish, Arabic, and English.

Over the past three years, the platform has recorded tens of thousands of visits from countries around the globe. Furthermore, an evaluation and comparative study of the platform's performance has been published in Springer's journal, Publishing Research Quarterly.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all professors, researchers, and users whose feedback, suggestions, and ongoing support have contributed to the continuous development of this platform.
