University of Halabja Participates in the International "Network, Market and People 2026" Conference in Italy

​The University of Halabja successfully participated in the international conference "Network, Market and People 2026", which was held in a hybrid format in Italy from May 26–29, 2026.

​The university was represented by Assist. Lect. Mohammed Latif Mawlawi, who served as the chair and organizer for the special session titled:

"Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Computational and Artificial Intelligence, Robotics"


​Presented Research Papers

​During the conference, two research papers affiliated with the University of Halabja were presented:

  1. "A Multi-Label Deep Learning Framework for Pentacam-Based Diagnosis of Corneal and Anterior Segment Disorders"
    • Authors: Co-authored by Assist. Lect. Mohammed Latif Mawlawi and Zanyar Jamal, a fourth-stage student in the Department of Computer Science.
    • Note: Notably, this research was one of the prominent projects previously presented at the Halabja Artificial Intelligence Exhibition 2025 hosted by the University of Halabja.
  2. "Predictive Modeling and Optimization of Surface Roughness in S275JR Steel Cutting Using Machine Learning"
    • Authors: Co-authored by Assist. Lect. Mohammed Latif Mawlawi and several faculty members from Sulaimani Polytechnic University.

​Publication and Indexing

​Following a rigorous scientific peer-review process, both papers were officially accepted. They are scheduled to be published post-conference by the renowned global publisher Springer Nature, within the prestigious series "Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (LNNS)".
