University of Halabja Lecturer Publishes Scientific Research in High-Impact International Scopus Journal

Mr. Hunar Jabar Muhammad, a lecturer in the Department of International Trade and Department of Business Administration, has published a collaborative scientific research paper in the high-level international journal Discover Sustainability. The journal holds an Impact Factor of 5.2, is ranked Q1 in Scopus, and is published by the renowned publisher Springer.

Research Title: Determinants of tourists’ willingness to pay for green transport in Europe from behavioral and value-based perspectives.

Research Summary: This study identifies that tourists are willing to pay more for eco-friendly (green) transportation when the following three conditions are present:

Positive Attitude: They personally value the environment and support making eco-friendly choices and payments.Social Influence: They feel that society and those around them encourage and support paying for sustainable transport.

Ease of Access: They are willing to pay for green transport when they perceive it as easy to use and accessible.

This research was initiated during his PhD studies alongside fellow student colleagues in Hungary. Data was collected from 259 tourists and analyzed using SmartPLS software.
