Symposium on "Redesigning the Educational System in the Era of Artificial Intelligence" Held

​On Saturday, May 16, 2026, a special symposium titled "Redesigning the Educational System in the Era of Artificial Intelligence" was held at the Kashkul Hall in the Sulaymaniah Cultural Factory. This scientific event highlighted the critical challenges and immense opportunities that artificial intelligence introduces to the learning process, and it was jointly organized and coordinated by Halabja University, Cihan University-Sulaimaniya, and the AI Hub Organization. The symposium ran from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, in the presence of distinguished guests, including Prof. Dr. Sirwan Hamad Ahmed (Vice President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs), Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Mohammed Salih (Dean of the Research and Development Center), Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarkew Salah Abdulkarim (Dean of the College of Science), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sadat Abdullah (Vice President of Cihan University-Sulaimaniya for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education), along with a gathering of lecturers, experts, and university students. The symposium's agenda was structured around two main themes; the first theme focused on the challenges that generative artificial intelligence poses to the educational system while proposing appropriate and scientific solutions, whereas the second theme showcased various AI models and systems developed by researchers and students aimed at advancing the educational process and scientific development.
