An Academic Panel Held on "Ajaj Deserves Death, But..."
Today, Monday, May 25, 2026, the Center for Genocide and International Crimes Studies at Halabja University, in partnership with the Ghazalnus Center, organized an academic panel titled "Ajaj Deserves Death, But... How the Execution of Ajaj Contradicts the Cause of the Kurdish Genocide."
A significant number of former ministers from both the Regional Government and the Central Government, along with experts, intellectuals, and academics, attended the event. Additionally, the event saw the participation of several key figures, including:
- Prof. Dr. Sirwan Hamid Ahmed, Assistant President of Halabja University for Administrative and Financial Affairs
- Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Mohammed Salih, Dean of the Scientific Research Center
- Lecturer Dilshad Hamid Darwish, Director of the Genocide Research Center
During the panel, four academic topics were presented, discussing various dimensions of the subject. The presentations were delivered by:
